There are 2 separate software packages for your aXbo:

1. aXbo Research - Analysis Software & Sounds Upload
2. aXbo up2date - aXbo Firmware-uploads (new features)
   
   

System requirements:

Win7/Win8/Win10 (64+32-Bit-version)

Mac OS X 10.4 - 11.2.3 (64+32-Bit-Version, admin-rights)

Mac OS - Note: 
Runing Mac OS Big Sur (V11.x) you have to allow accessibility apps to access your Mac. Further information you can find on Apple's support page.

Runing Mac OS X 10.7 Lion requires Java V1.6.0_31 or newer.
Further information for Mac OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion or newer versions you can find at Service & Support Center, sector "Software" or rather "Troubleshooting / Software-installation & USB".

In case that aXbo is not recognized with the supplied drivers, you will find here the latest COM port drivers from Silicon Labs:

If the COM-port is not recognized:

• Close the other aXbo software (up2date or research; both use the same driver!).
  
  
• If necessary, switch off Bluetooth on the computer (Bluetooth often occupies some COM-ports, which can sometimes maintain time delays in the COM-port detection).
  

IT Note:
You need admin rights to install the software. In case that your firewall does not permit download, software installation or firmware upgrade process, it is necessary to configure your firewall.

1) Software aXbo Research 3.X     Analysis Software & Sounds Upload

To use all feature of aXbo Research 3.X (iSnooze or variable wake-range e.g.) and in order to keep your aXbo up to date, you should follow-up to install the current version of the software aXbo up2date and upgrade the latest firmware for your aXbo (see bullet point 2).

Click one of the following links to download aXbo Research to your computer and follow the instructions given.

By updating the software aXbo Research you have to unplug the USB-cable from your computer during the installation process.

2) aXbo up2date to upload new aXbo-features

aXbo up2date is currently available for Windows as well as for Mac OS X via Parallels or VMware Fusion. Click on the following link to download aXbo up2date to your computer and follow the instructions.

Note

If you already have an older up2date software on your computer, you need to uninstall this as well as the actual version of National Instruments in advance (start/ settings/ control panel/ software/ remove). Please follow the instructions in the install instruction.

In order to ensure that you are using the appropriate USB-driver, you should install the software aXbo Research before installing aXbo up2date.

In case that you did not install the software aXbo Research, in order to be able to use aXbo up2date you need the Silicon Labs driver v6.3a - or possibliy a higher version, which you can find on the Silicon Labs page (Download) for the USB cable!
